Auto-update / Bug Tracking Component
Created a Web service and related .Net component in Visual Basic .Net that integrates bug tracking and automatic software updates into any application. Bug logs are stored in an Internet-based SQL Server database (accessed via Web services), and the component contains a user interface for tracking the status of previously-submitted bug reports. A standalone utility checks the database for updates to the program (by comparing version numbers through a Web service), updating the local components when newer versions are published to the server. Project responsibilities include component design and development.
