Project Details
Data Center (New York)
Designed (and supervised installation of) a new information center in New York in order to accommodate increased bandwidth requirements of Intellisponse"s proprietary systems. Located at an MCI co-location facility, the data center includes 3 racks of servers, routers, and firewalls, all directly connected to the frame-relay hub. The network itself is actually 4 distinct networks, separated by Windows 2000 domain and on 4 different routers (to optimize traffic to each dedicated system). Each Web server involved is capable of handling over 300 surveys at a time, or over 150,000 form submittals per hour. Responsibilities included architecture of the networks and server systems, management of the installation process and vendor relations, and load balancing of production systems as equipment was moved from Connecticut to New York with zero system downtime.
