Project Details
Respondent Data Harvester
Designed and developed a data harvesting component for Intellisponse using Visual Basic .Net and SQL Server 2000. This console-based application is designed to run as a scheduled task, harvesting data regularly from the Lotus Notes-based proprietary survey software into a relational database. Using .Net Web services, the system translates records from one system into the other using transactions, updating the SQL Server database only when all records have been transferred without error. The original records are then flagged for deletion on the originating server. The system is also responsible for exporting the transferred data into several formats of flat and local database (MS Access) file formats for legacy application processing, and was integrated into the Intellisponse .Net System, a proprietary ASP.Net system designed to encapsulate online programs under one security and interface framework. Project responsibilities include system architecture (application and component design, data modeling, security blueprints) and complete system development.
