Hermes is an RSS feed aggregator designed for .NET developers that works behind the scenes to deliver the latest RSS feed content (from a collection of sources that you specify) to your desktop. Hermes can be extended through the use of Plugins (written in .NET) to convert regular Web sites into RSS feeds.
Hermes is now in the final BETA testing phase, and will soon be available for public download. Please check back for more information!
Quick Tip #1
After selecting a feed for viewing, Hermes will automatically mark the feed as "read" after 3 seconds if it is still selected (and the Hermes is still the active program). If you select another feed (or another program) within that three seconds, the feed will remain marked as "unread". To mark a feed "read" or "unread" yourself, use the shortcut keys "CTRL-Q" and CTRL-U", respectively.
Quick Tip #2
Hermes can be configured to display an icon in the system tray (next to the click) when there are unread feeds. To enable this feature, click the "Tools -> Notification Options" menu, and check the "Display an icon in the system tray" checkbox. To associate a notification bubble with this icon, check the "Display a notification bubble when new content arrives" checkbox.
